Shop the Street is this Weekend!
Has all this rainy cold weather got you down? Fear not because this weekend you can head to Downtown Oakville for the ‘Shop the Street’ event being held from June 9th to June 12th.
Research suggests that browsing, window shopping or visiting your favourite boutique, can bring brain fuelled happiness to your day! The saying “I need a little retail therapy” is actually true. There really is therapeutic and psychological value to shopping. Experts also say that the choices made when you’re shopping can help you gain control over your life. (COVID are you listening?) And, that shopping for and buying things you enjoy is 40 times more effective than not shopping to give you that sense of control.
Downtown Oakville includes the 6 blocks from Navy Street to Allan Street along Lakeshore Road. It’s filled with shops, boutiques and fabulous restaurants. Also don’t miss the side streets. The best finds often can be found around the corner!

Beyond Human Limits @ Joseph Brant Museum
