Summer Fun at Conservation Halton
Celebrate the summer season and all things that grow local at Conservation Halton’s newest event, Blooms and Bubbles! It’s being held at Kelso Quarry Park for 2 days this weekend and looks like a lot of Fun! Kelso Quarry is the site of the old Milton Limestone Quarry and over the past 20 plus years has undergone a series of restorative projects. Now, the old quarry transformation is considered an environmental showcase.
This weekend Blooms and Bubbles is inviting you to Sip & Stroll at the Marketplace. There you’ll find local Vendors showcasing their wares from crafts and artisanal goods, to plants and flowers. Next, stop by the Conservation Halton booths to chat about the effects of invasive plant species to our native pollinators, and what you can do to make your garden healthy and sustainable. Plan a picnic and enjoy beautiful views of the park.
That’s not all! They are planning live music on the shores of the turquoise quarry lake. Unique performers like Miss T the Bubble Queen and Enviro Drum, a percussion group will have everyone joining in the fun! You can add even more to your experience and sign up for archery, craft time, or make your very own native seed ball. The event is Dog friendly on leash!

Oakville Drive-thru Family Ribfest @ Oakville Rotary Club
Held at Sheridan College the Rotary Club puts this charity event on yearly. $4 donation collected with your first meal, order from one vendor, then return to the line if you’d like something from different vendor. Onsite FM radio station, music, contests and more! It’s Drive-thru so everyone remains in their car.
