Blink your eyes because it's already June.
The Summer of 2022 will be one to remember. We’re finally free after two long years of COVID restrictions and many of the events that were cancelled are back on again. There’s lots to do In and Around Oakville this weekend and all summer long, So get ready to have some fun!

100in1Day
Something that caught my eye as I searched for things to do this weekend was the 100in1Day event that Burlington and Hamilton are part of on Saturday June 4th. It’s a really cool idea and the goal is to transform your city or town through hundreds of urban interventions in public spaces, all happening on one day, all around the country and the world. The transformations can be big or small created by one person or many.
The 100in1Day initiative started in 2012 in Bogota, Columbia. A group of Design Students launched urban interventions that would maximize the potential of their city. Over beers they decided to be ambitious and try for 100 in one day. Their innovative project grew and 250 thought provoking ideas were transformed on May 26th 2012 and a phenomenon was born.
Now, over 31 cities worldwide are part of 100in1Day. In Burlington there are 25 interventions registered this year (too many to list here). Have a look at the Burlington website and be part of 100in1Day. The self guided Mural Photo Tour looks really interesting to me, what sparks your interest?
