“Tell me when that breeze is blowing takin' me home to my town" — Glass Tiger
Glass Tiger is performing in Burlington tonight! ‘My Town’ is one of my favourite Glass Tiger songs. The song’s lyrics are a tribute to Alan Frew’s hometown in Scotland. One evening when Rod Stewart dined with Frew, he expressed that he wanted to sing on the record and he did.
Glass Tiger rocked the late 80’s and early 90’s. They had 14 hit songs during that time. When I think back, these are some of the songs that pop into my head, ‘My Song’, ‘Thin Red Line’, ‘Touch of Your Hand’, ‘Someday’, ‘Don’t Forget Me’, and ‘I’m Still Searching’.
Curious to know more about them I found this 20 minute video Glass Tiger – Where you at Baby with Matt Wells on youtube. It’s from 2011 and worth watching. A lot has happened since then. Their most recent album 33 was released in 2019 and has it’s own story. They’ll be performing songs from 33 along with their hits tonight!
