The scenery in Ireland can be described as something out of a movie. That beauty is captured by the camera in ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’ the film that won the Academy Award for Best Movie this week. ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’ is a Comedy/Drama, with the drama being easy to spot and the comedy found in the absurdity of it all. The film is a dark dark comedy that gives you much to think about.
If you’ve been a tourist in Ireland you’ll be drawn to the sweaters the Actors’ wear throughout the film. They’re the creation of 85-year-old Delia Barry, a master of her craft. She studied photos of fishermen from the 1920s with a magnifying glass to design the patterns for the film. There’s an article in Country Living about her that you might like Here’s the Link
