Don’t forget that today is the ButterTart Festival over at Oakville Place! Originating in Quebec back in the 1600s these delicious pastry tarts remind me of simpler times. The delicious gooey filling is made with butter, sugar and eggs. Often raisins and walnuts are added to the filling. Stop by when you’re out today.

Famous Black stars performed at the Brant Inn in Burlington, until it was demolished in the 1960s. One Burlington will raise awareness of the discrimination and segregation that occurred right here in Burlington, Ontario.
