The slow and steady upward trend continues in Oakville for the month of May 2023. Home prices are a little higher than they were last year at this time and the number of houses on the market for sale remains low putting pressure on prices to rise. The Bank of Canada raised their rate to 4.7 % as part of their plan to curb inflation. We haven’t seen an interest rate this high in 20 years.
The number of homes sold in Oakville for May 2023 was 226 and there are 278 active listings. The average price was $1,629,399 with homes remaining on the market for 29 days.
